Away league match played on 03 April 2015.
Kicked off at 10:20 AM

The SSAFC picked up a very ruthless victory on a wet Cambridgeshire morning winning 7-2 at Cambridge to continue their unbeaten record in 2015.

It was the hosts however who started brightly and Stephenson in goal made a smart save with his feet as Cambridge attacked and the first goal came when Cambridge went down the left hand side and a shot went across goal and to their left winger who had the easiest of chances to put it in to make it 1-0. Not the start the SSAFC had in mind! Cambridge kept the pressure up but the SSAFC started to get a hold of the game and started to play and it wasnt long before the equaliser came when a lovely cross from Dunn found Barker who headed home unmarked to make it 1-1.

Barker then got his second and the SSAFC 2nd when another corner from Dunn was flicked on by Jeorge Wedge who found once again an unmarked Barker who headed in, a lead which barely the SSAFC deserved at the moment in time but it seemed to spark the SSAFC who looked alot better than the first 10 minutes and started to play a bit of decent football with Wedge causing problems up top! Dunn then had a header from a corner go narrowly wide! It didnt take long for the third to come and it was lovely build up play from the Wedge brothers when Jonni's backheel found his brother Jeorge running on and his finish was of real class with the outside of the foot, steering it into the far corner and making it 3-1

Rowe & Dunn then had some pot shots which didnt trouble the goalkeeper but the 4th goal arrived when good counter attacking from Dunn, found Jackson on the left who then sent Wedge through tho his first attempt was blocked made no mistake with the second and cooly slotted over the keeper. 4-1 to the SSAFC although it wasnt plain sailing thats for sure!

Second half started with a first game of the season for Marcus McKechnie & a cameo from staleward Daniel Swales coming on from the bench, the SSAFC looked to pick up where they left the first half off and did when a great run from Dunn was halted by a Cambridge defender in the box and the referee gave the pen. Swales sending the keeper the wrong way to make it 5-1 and it seemed game over. Cambridge looked to bounce back and Stephenson made a good comfortable save to push it wide.

The SSAFC got their 6th and its a first goal of the season for left back John Carroll when Jackson's good work found Carroll who had the easiest of chances to slot home and make it 6-1. Cambridge then got a lifeline when a swift counter attack found the SSAFC defence short and despite a good save from Stephenson, the rebound went in. Frustrating as the SSAFC pushed on for more goals! The game was more slowed but yet the SSAFC had chances with Swales having a good chance blocked and Dunn had a volley hit the bar, Jackson had a header go nowhere near the goal and Dunn had a header go wide when he could have done better!

The final goal came in the 89th min and at the time the game was more of a friendly feel when Stephenson the goalie came up for a corner, Swales corner was flicked on by Wedge & there was Stephenson who smashed home to put a bit of gloss on the scoreline as the game finished 7-2 to the SSAFC.
