The SSAFC continued their red hot form on what was a nice pitch at Ridlins with a convincing 10-2 win over our friends at London Carlisle with the SSAFC making it 40 goals in 4 games in the process!

The game started brightly with some early play and the first goal came after fantastic work rate shown by Swales who was strong and won the ball back before releasing Wedge who slotted into the near corner to give the SSAFC the perfect start to the game. It was two for the SSAFC shortly and the second of the game for Wedge when a cross in from his brother Jeorge wasnt cleared and the ball fell kindly to Wedge who slotted home from 6 yards out. The SSAFC looked in control but Carlisle were looking to get back in the game but a few efforts went wide of Court's post and the SSAFC defence mopped up any attacking threat.

The third came and it was roles reserved as Jonni Wedge on the wing got to the byline and whipped in a low cross which found Jeorge Wedge who smahed his header home to make it 3-0. A lovely cross and run to match to make the goal and well worked by the Wedge brothers. the 4th came and it was the skipper with the goal when Jonni Wedge had another mazy run on the left and his cut back found Bell who despite slipping, got back up and beat one defender before a powerful toepunt into the net. The SSAFC were in good control but then it was a first half hat-trick from Wedge when Brown sent in a floated cross and Wedge unleashed an outragous overhead kick which found the top corner, one of the finest goals to grace a football pitch and made it 5-0 just before half time.

The SSAFC started off sluggish and London Carlisle got a goal back when a free header was heading towards goal but was stopped by a hand on the line by Tutton. The Penalty was put away well to make it 5-1. The SSAFC then had to buck up ideas and get back to the football they played in the first half which they done when a long ball from Rowe found Wedge who slotted home to make it his fourth of the game and the 6th for the SSAFC. London Carlisle kept going and could have scored when the player rounded Court in goal but couldnt find the target and Court made a low save.

The SSAFC then got a penalty when Deard's powerful run was halted in the box and Teale stepped up to finish and make it 7. Swales then got his goal his workrate deserve when he was put through by Dutton and with his weaker left foot, found the top corner to make it 8-1, a very good finish. Chances were falling for the SSAFC with Tutton missing a good effort going narrowly over and Dutton & Deards having efforts go wide. Carlisle then got another goal from a very good free kick after Barker fouled from 25 yards out and the effort avoided Court into the bottom corner.

Deards then got the goal his overall game deserved when he was put through and after beating the defender smashed hard and low past the keeper and into the net to make it 9 before he finished off the game with another goal on the 90th min when a short corner found Teale who's effort found Deards with the easiest of tap-ins to make it 10-2 just before the final whistle went.
