Home league match played on 11 September 2011.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

Sutton United earned their first league win of the seasons thanks to four fine goals in a hard fought match against Arden Forest.

Sutton made a positive start picking up where they had left off last week with a real desire and will to get the ball and play along the floor. They soon found themselves 1-0 up after three minutes when some strong hold up play by Zain allowed the midfield to join in before a low hard shot from Zain nestled in the bottom right hand corner.

With confidence flowing Sutton started to move the ball well with Harry proving a thorn in the side of Arden Forest with some marauding runs down the right beating two or three players before whipping in some quality balls.

More chances were falling to Zain and Josh but it was Carl that extended the lead to 2-0 midway through the half with a well hit strike after some good interwork between the forwards.

Sutton were taking more control of the game and looking solid at the back where the back four were marshalling Arden’s big centre forward well.Sutton showed a great balance between attack and defence with Ross keeping his new position as holding midfielder well allowing Carl forward.

After the Break Sutton continued to push the tempo of the game and the work down the flanks was causing Arden trouble with every attack.

In the Sutton goal Ryan was doing everything he needed to do well with his kicking really improving from game to game and while Sutton were caught on a couple of occasions by the break or a moments hesitation at the back they were marshalling the game well.

It wasn’t long when Sutton went 3-0 up after great interchange between Zain and Josh saw Josh lob the keeper to finish off a great team move.

With confidence flowing Oscar, Regan and Dan joined the game and did really well with all three of them adding something different to the Sutton performance.

With 10 minutes to go Carl topped off a great performance with a long range effort from the right hand side of the box with a high looping shot that beat the keeper and nestled in the top corner.

Great Performance by everybody and a well deserved 3 points.
