Home cup match played on 02 September 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

30 minutes extra time played.

Weather was warm with the sun breaking through from time to time and a breeze blowing, the pitch was not ideal with long grass down the sides.

Tenth Lock took on a new formation playing 3 at the back with the wingers working back to cover and to start with it worked well defended the hill in the first half and created several chances but on 20 minutes a long clearance was not handled and the ball fell to the forest falcons striker who took no time in planting it in to the net 0 – 1. Before Tenth could regroup another error in defence gave Forest Falcons another chance which they converted on 23 minutes 0 – 2. Tenth then created several chances and on 30 minutes  were awarded a penalty when Matt Hunt hit a brilliant shot that had beaten the keeper but it was turned around the post by a brilliant save from on of the forest Flacons players with his hands but no cards were shown? Lee Ledington stepped up but hit the bar and the follow up was blasted way over the bar. Forest then got their third on 41 minutes with another defensive error 0 – 3.

HALF TIME 0 - 3

Tenth started the second half going downhill but still with the same formation from the first half, but after 10 minutes it was not working so they changed back to a 4 4 2 formation and the result appeared almost instantly with Rich Hill scoring on 57 minutes 1 – 3. Tenth took off James Alliband and put on Haydon Baker on 66 minutes but 4 minutes later Falcons had scored 1 – 4. Tenth kept pushing and from a corner whipped in from MOM Sean Gray Miles Pitter got his head onto it 2 – 4. This totally lifted the Tenths players and from this point on it was one way traffic with attack after attack. On 82 minutes Sean Gray broke across the Falcons defence and planted the ball straight into the back of the net 3 – 4. 3 minutes later Lee Ledington got into the box but before he had a chance to do anything he was bought down PENALTY. Having missed in the first half Lee Ledington was replaced by Matt Hunt who scored a well taken penalty 4 – 4. At this point it was all tenth lock and the match should have been over before 90 minutes when Lee Ledington scored two fair goals the one was ruled out about 5 minutes after it had been awarded because the ref was advised that the Falcons player with the head injury was down before the ball went into the net, the second was ruled offside even though Lee had run from an onside position to put the ball into the net when the keeper dropped it?

FULL TIME 4 – 4

Into extra time and the first 15 minutes did not really create any chance for either team with very tired players missing simple passes and challenges it was a little ragged.

HALF TIME EXTRA TIME 4 – 4

It was still stalemate with 10 minutes to go when a bit of brilliance from Richard Hill turned the game. Lee Ledington had to go up front following a fair challenge but was struggling after the knock and Rich Hill had dropped back into mid field but he saw the opening turned 2 players and planted the ball into the net  5 – 4. Tenth Lock did not hold back and following a quick clearance Sean Gray collected the ball on the left hand side off mid field tuned the defenders and planted the ball into the back of the net 6 – 4.

FULL TIME 6 – 4

Next match Sunday 9th September away at Sledmere to Malt Shovel in the league KO 10.30am.
