Terror Classic SC travelled to Mmopane to face Gabane United in a lively friendly match on 18 October 2026, kicking off at 4:00pm. The visitors emerged victorious with a 4-2 scoreline after 90 minutes plus five minutes of added time, showcasing a spirited performance on the road.
Deploying a classic 4-4-2 formation, Terror Classic SC lined up with Dennis Matlho in goal, protected by a back four consisting of Thabang Selaki at right back, central defenders Thatayaone Mokiya and Kagiso Letsebe, and Prince Ogotlhe Seobamo at left back. The midfield quartet featured Tlhompho Kebitsang on the right wing, central midfielders Bokhutlo “Booster” Ntona and Kutlo Ntsima, and Omphile Joseph on the left flank. Up front, the strike partnership was formed by Gideon Ntiro on the right and Jabari Matenge on the left. This setup was expected to provide defensive solidity, width from the midfield, and a balanced attacking threat through the two forwards. The substitutes available were Joseph Doika, James Kadramotho, Kaelo Phaladi, Thebe Mbakile, Kutlo Kekgonegile, and Afrika Mosekwa.
The first half ended goalless, with both sides probing but unable to break the deadlock by the 45-minute mark. At the interval, the teams went in level, setting the stage for a more open second period.
Terror Classic SC made a bold tactical switch immediately after the break, introducing four substitutes simultaneously at the 50th minute. Joseph Doika replaced Gideon Ntiro up front, James Kadramotho took over in goal from Dennis Matlho, Kaelo Phaladi came on for left back Prince Ogotlhe Seobamo, and Thebe Mbakile replaced central defender Thatayaone Mokiya. These changes indicated a shift in approach, perhaps aiming to inject fresh energy and sharpen the attacking impetus.
Just three minutes after these substitutions, Kaelo Phaladi made an instant impact by heading home a free-kick delivered by Omphile Joseph, giving Terror Classic SC the lead with a well-timed and powerful header. However, Gabane United responded swiftly, equalising in the 55th minute to level the scores once more.
The tactical reshuffle continued as Kutlo Kekgonegile replaced central midfielder Kutlo Ntsima and Afrika Mosekwa came on for left forward Jabari Matenge at the 56th minute. These changes paid dividends almost immediately. In the 58th minute, Kekgonegile scored a stunning goal from outside the box, expertly finishing with his right foot following a neat short pass from Mosekwa. This strike put Terror Classic SC back in front and lifted the visitors’ momentum.
Gabane United were not to be outdone and found an equaliser again in the 61st minute, making it 2-2 and setting up a tense finale. Yet Terror Classic SC’s resilience shone through as Kutlo Kekgonegile continued to dominate. In the 72nd minute, he headed home a flicked assist from right midfielder Tlhompho Kebitsang, showcasing his aerial prowess and composure to restore the lead once more.
The visitors sealed the victory in the 85th minute when central midfielder Bokhutlo “Booster” Ntona capitalised on a defensive error to slot home with his left foot, extending the lead to 4-2. This goal effectively ended any hopes of a Gabane United comeback.
Kutlo Kekgonegile’s influential performance, marked by two crucial goals and a commanding presence in midfield, earned him the player of the match accolade. His introduction after half-time proved decisive in turning the tide in Terror Classic SC’s favour.
Overall, Terror Classic SC’s tactical flexibility and clinical finishing in the second half secured a memorable away win in this friendly encounter at Mmopane. The team’s ability to respond quickly to Gabane United’s goals and maintain composure under pressure was key to their success.
