Home league match played on 16 April 2013.
Kicked off at 6:00 PM

With a lot of pride still to play for in the league standings the Belevedere needed to get back to winning ways in the league, against the improving Yates side at Budmouth.
The squad for the evening game welcomed a return for Jason Swindle at centre back this meant manager Dulston kept Dixon in his new role of right back and allowed Sowerby to keep his new found freedom on the right wing. Aslo Dean’o Hoey was to be trialled at left back but two major changes in the side saw the experienced Karl Petford return in an anchoring midfield role and young Leon Rawlings in-between the sticks for his game as a goalie ever!

The Belve got off to a shaky start with so many changes in the side it took a while for them to adjust and before they did settle down the visitors took the lead, after a break away from the defence the pacey Yates striker slotted home, giving Leon no chance. 0-1
This was almost what the Belve needed as they seemed to react straight away, with some great challenging and simple play in the middle of the park from Petford he showed no rustyness and his calming play helped the belve find their grove. Petford fed the ball to rawlings and Campbell who in turn fed Sowerby and Hallet both working well down the wings creating chances.  It was Sowerby who found Hine from the right wing and after missing a few defenders with the cross it came to Hine to smash home to make it 1-1.
Straight on the restart Belve went hunting for the ball and a ball broke to Campbell who lobbed an awkward ball for Yates to deal with into the penalty box towards Hine who cud only duck as the Yates Defender raised his foot inches from Hines Face. The ref made no mistake with the decision and a penalty was given. Campbell Dispatched for 2-1.
The Belvedere seemed to relax a bit after taking the lead and to Yates credit they kept plugging away and created some great chances from silly Belvedere errors.  Luckily for the Belvedere Leon Rawlings had a MOM display making some outrageous saves one after the other keeping the Belvedere in the lead at half time.
Some good words at half time by all players saw the team regroup and go out in the second half to enjoy themselves as they started to play some neat football with Sowerby getting in on the act with a tidy finish after some great work form Hine cutting in from the wing and pulling it back to Sowerby for 3-1.
Sowerby then turned provider as he crossed to the box and at the back post to whom else other than Deano who smashed home for 4-1.
Yates then nicked what was just a consilation goal after a scramble at the back inside the penalty box .4-2
The strike of the game was still to come as some neat play on the left wing from Attree and Deano found the ball falling to "The Running Man” Rawlings who looked up and blasted a long range effort over the Yates keeper for 5-2 a great strike.

The game was a good work out for the lads and it was great to get back to winning ways before sundays massive final.  But we have to learn from our complacency against the Lounge the week before though just because we can beat a side once doesnt mean we will do it again thisThursday enless we play with 100% effort. Well done boys
