Home cup match played on 30 March 2013.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

Well we finally got to play the match after bad weather had cancelled it twice before!

We knew coming in to this game that Pymore are one of the top teams in our league and that we had to take our chances and limit theirs to progress, and that a good start would be paramount.

We started well with Fisher and Harry giving them no time at all on the ball which inturn gave the rest of the team a great lift and saw us all really closing them down all over the park, this forcing them to play at our pace and intensity was causing them no ends of trouble as they simply could not keep up with us when we were with, or without the ball.

This play saw us win a free kick just in their half which John (Thunderfoot) Mason duly obliged to smash at their goal seeing the keeper just tip over for a corner.
Fisher put the resulting corner  right into the danger area which saw Macca power through out-muscle the def and smash a header in!

Great free kick by john, Great corner by Fisher and a Great header by Macca

Unfourtunately our lead did not last as long as i had hoped, as a half hit clearance by us landed at the feet of one of their players on the edge of our 18yd box and he fooled us all by chipping a lovely ball over the top when he looked to be shooting, which found 2-3 of them in behind us onside and with just Soch' to beat!

Not a great a bit of defending by us all in that little bit of play, but im glad to say that it was the only time we gave them anything in the whole game.

This set back did not faze us in anyway as we have a great sense of belief throughout the team, that we are able to score goals against any one and are willing to fight for each other no matter what, this self belif we have in each other is our greatest assist and its fantastic watch you all from the side line play with it!

Not long after the equaliser some good play down the right from Luka-Toves then to Harry seen him control and turn in one then fire a lovely cross for fish to get infront of both CB's and tap in!!

Great team goal !!

Pymore were now rocking and new that they were getting outplayed all over the park, their manager an CB were arguing over what to do about the Pace,Power,Movement and Skill on display by Harry and Fisher, their midfield could not get a foot on the ball or get near the guile and steel of Gager and Macca.
Another fantastic corner by Fisher this time seen Harry smash through the pack and Head man and ball into the goal!

another great corner by Fisher and an unstoppable run by Harry ! 'He scores when he wants the crowd chanted '

some more great play in midfield seen Harry run and run down the right flank and smash a shot at goal that the keeper could only parry away for a corner.
A few other chance came and went that we maybe should of put away?

Halftime came we spoke about carrying on forcing the game and keeping switched on to their movements.

Second half started and they had made a change at the back taking off one of the CB's, bringing on a forward and moving one of the CM's into the CB's place and also moving one of the orignal FWDs into a defensive midfield role?

I guess the idea was to stop us scoring more by parking the bus?

A bit strange considering they were 2 behind and its a cup game?

im a great believer its paramount to play to your own strengths rather than playing to curb your opponents?!?!

Well this tactical change by them seen the midfield get rather congested and at times left us a man or 2 light! but neverless the trusty and  faithful partnership of Gage and Whitley stood tall and came off  the better the majority of times!

Also the Fwd now playing in DM i guess was there to stop Fisher?? But all i remember of his stint there was Fisher making look stupid on several occasions.
'Now you see the ball, Now you dont & Now you see me, now you dont' was pretty much how that battle went everytime!

The Chairman was replaced by Wayne for his first team debut with 20 to go.

Then Harry picked up a knock after wrapping his leg around around the man (looked uncomfortable) so was replaced by Veteran Goal poacher Paul Male also getting his 1st team debut of the season.

More great play by the midfield seen us go close on a couple oocasions, which looked to be going in but for rashed shots.

the game kind of played out with us holding the midfield and looking to break on every opportunity.

Full Time 3-1

During this game there was some exceptional displays by players.

Dan mather was immense i honestly think that was the best i have seen him play, he won every ball, attacked it like he was possesed. sheer class today!

Harry did his usual nonstop bullying and tireless running, oh and scoring !

John was fantastic in CB won every header and cleared every thing 50yds up the pitch! (looks a stayer there)

Gager and Macca did fantastic as they were often outnumbered, great display by the pair!

Luka did great in his new role, looked comfortable going fwd and backwards.

Fisher was uplayable today, controlled every ball brilliantly, was fantastic all over, tracked back won every tackle, ran at them turning them inside out and back again, got kicked as many times as the ball!
i could go on as he was that good!!

The next round of this cup is the quarter final home vs Millwey res 27/04/13

Next week see's us away to Charmouth in a semi final with a final vs the winner of Uplyme v Pymore at Combe st nicholas Bank holiday mon 06/05/13 3pm
