Stunning Ventolin comeback mugs muggy in 4-4 draw! Ventolin Inhalers produced a storming performance against premiership runners up Muggy Muggs to gain an invaluable point in the nights televised match.

Ventolin maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a supreb comeback to deny last seasons premiership runners up Muggy Muggs all three points in a pulsating match that included stuinning goals, some fine individual performances, a sending off and a controversial last second equaliser scored after 4 man muggy looked like they had secured all three points with a stunning last minute goal of their own.

The game started cagily with Ventolin sat deep, looking to catch the Muggs on the counter attack. This did though invite some early pressure and only a series of fine tackles and interceptions by the Inhalers defence prevented Muggy from taking the lead.

The games opening goal came after some fine work from Loz who beat his man before playing a killer ball to Keeley who cooled rounded his man before slotting home with his left foot. 1-0 and richly deserved.

This was the start Ventolin had been looking for, unfortunately within minutes they were undone by a wonder strike from the Muggs skilful defender who strode forward and rifled home a shot from some 30 yeards, past the hapless Barton in the Ventolin goal.

Muggs were now on fire and created several further chances before the Muggs most dangerous player recieved the ball in space and without hesitation fired powerfully past Barton. The game was turning into a competitive affair with the Mggs gaining a series of questionable free kicks seemingly based on  their ability to moan loudest, while the referee seemed oblivious to the late challenges on Ventolins players.

The half time whitle sounded and both teams left the pitch reasonably content with their first half performance and hoping to gain the edge in the second half. HT - 2-1

Muggs well and truly gained a significant edge when they went 3-1 into the lead with a goal staright from the kick off.  This time Ventolin only had themselves to blame after trying to play the ball out from the back only to see mUggs gain possession and finish in style.

The Muggs now felt in control of the game and could have sealed it if they hadnt decided to mess around when clear on goal. Barton faced with 2 Muggs players somehow denied them with a double save.  This was to be the turning point of the match, as moments later Plass who had been having a fantatsic game at the heart of the inhalers team played an inch perfect pass through to Loz, who took a touch before slipping the ball past the Muggs keeper.

3-2 and now it was ventolins turn to apply the pressure, with Loz and Plass both going close beforte Plass once again showed his class with a fine finish low to the keepers left.

3-3 - and now the Muggs who had moments earlier arrogantly assumed the game was over were now rocking. Keeley went close, after some good work from Loz, Loz again had a chance to add to his earlier goal but was denied by another fine save from the Muggs keeper.

Things took a turn for the worse for Muggy when oddly after the referee had awarded a free kick to the Muggs, their defender managed to talk himself into getting sent off.  With only 5 minutes remaining the Muggs would have to play out the rest of the game with a man less.

To their credit they did not give up and after being bombarded by the rampant inhalers, who could have scored again through Plass, and then Dain who saw his strike curl wide of the far post, perhaps most importantly Ventolin missed the chance of the game when Dain played the ball back fror barton to strike into the empty net, only to see his shot go over the bar.

It looked like Ventolin were to be punished for these misses when Muggs restored their lead after a stunning goal from their two goal striker.  Holding off Dain and Keeley he somehow managed to curl a stunning strike past Bartons despairing dive.

This it would appear was was to be the killer blow, only for Ventolin to surge straight up the other end of the pitch and somehow bundle the ball home after Loz crossed the ball into the box, and in an unsightly tangle dain and their defender contrived to divert the ball into the Muggs goal. Although Dain claimed the goal it was clear from the replay that he had in fact bundled the ball home with his arm - therefore earning the nuickname of Maradaina.

4-4 and Ventolin players were celebrating all over the pitch as the muggs walked off, with two players unwilling to even shake their opponents hands.

While Ventolin were delighted to have comeback from 3-1 down there was a sense of disappointment that they hadnt secured all three points after having 5 minutes against 4 men.

Man of the Match Joe Plass, clutched his champagne and said he was delighted with the famous ventolin spirit and the fact a valuable point was secured against strong opponents. He did echo the teams mild disappointment at not claiming all three points though.

" We could have won that game tonight although its hard to be too down after coming back from 3-1 against one of the leagues best teams.

Next week Ventolin face their old rivals Fat Bald and Son.
