In a commanding performance, Washington FC Wildcats secured a 2-0 victory over Newton Aycliffe in their league home match at the Washington Northern Area Pitches on 10 May 2025. The match kicked off at 11:35 am, and the Wildcats showcased their attacking prowess and solid defensive structure throughout the encounter.
The Wildcats lined up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, which allowed them to maintain a strong defensive base while providing ample support for their forwards. Olivia took her position as the goalkeeper, with a back four comprising Sophia and Layla as the right and left defenders, respectively, while Katie and Emily H anchored the central defence. In front of the defence, Demi operated as the central midfielder, tasked with linking play and providing support to the attacking midfielders. Kayla and Niamh occupied the right and left attacking midfield roles, while Ella played centrally, with Charlotte leading the line as the striker.
