Wedgwood FC welcomed ball green WMC to the Wedgwood Sports And Social Club on the morning of 23 August 2026 for a league fixture kicking off at 10:30am. The home side produced a commanding performance to secure a resounding 6-2 victory after 90 minutes of football plus added time.

Wedgwood lined up in a 4-1-3-2 formation, deploying Ethan Wheeldon in goal behind a back four of Tom Birks at right back, Jordan Coleman and Ben Woolley as central defenders, and Alyx Bayley at left back. Jake Tunstall operated as the holding central midfielder, shielding the defence and linking play. Ahead of him, Shane Reaney took up the right attacking midfield role, Brad Lewis played centrally as the attacking midfielder, and Tom Raketic started on the left attacking midfield flank.
