Four goals in the last twenty minutes saw Winlaton complete a fine turn around after the Saints had looked well on course for a second away win of the season.

The Saints got off to a shaky start and young keeper Ellis Burns was in top form from the off as he raced off his line to block an effort from Adam Cameron. At the other end David Smith nearly smashed the Quay into the lead but his effort was tipped over the bar by the Vulcans keeper.

The home side were laying siege to the Saints goal, a free header was somehow headed over from 6 yards and then a ball across goal just evaded the on rushing Winlaton midfielder.

Winlaton were then handed a great chance to take the lead as Saints defender Dale Johnson fouled Cameron in the box and the referee awarded the spotkick. Burns in the Saints goal saved a penalty on his debut last Saturday and once again he produced a stunning save to deny Winlaton the lead diving full stretch to keep the ball out.

After weathering the early storm the Quay ventured forward more and they took the lead against the run of play, Karl Charlton delivered a fine corner that was met by a bullet header from summer signing Ian Graham that flew past the keeper into the corner, his first Saints goal putting the Saints ahead on the half hour mark.

The Quay were finally settled into the game and just before half time they doubled there lead, Joe Connor sent over a cross that was met by the head of Andy Breheny whose header was saved but Connor was on hand to fire in the rebound for his 9th goal of the season the Saints in at the break two goals to the good.

Peter Lowery was forced off at half time with a knee injury and was replaced by new signing Danny Coleman who slotted into right wing with Luke Gribbin moving to right back.

The Vulcans were denied a certain goal by Charlton who cleared off the line after Burns was finally beaten by a low effort, moments later Gribbin slid in at the far post to deny a tap in for the winger as the home side fought to get back into the game.

Glen Johnson replaced Breheny up top on the hour and immediately he almost sealed the win as he raced onto a through ball before sliding his shot agonizingly wide of the post with the keeper beaten.

Winlaton turned their fortunes around in a hurry as they scored two goals in a crazy minute of football, First they finally got past Burns  Dean Hall smashing an unstoppable effort into the roof of the net from 25 yards then after Mark Henderson lost the ball from kick off Winlaton equalized after a goalmouth scramble, David Wright finding the net after another long range effort crashed back off the underside of the bar.

The saints were on the ropes and Winlaton made no mistake in finishing them off as  man of the match Adam Cameron smashed home a brilliant left foot effort from 12 yards sparking jubilation on the Winlaton sidelines.

With the Quay pushing people forward for a leveller the Vulcans sealed the victory Connor Miller slotting home from 6 yards into an empty net to finish the game and seal the win after a fine comeback.

A disappointing defeat for the Saints after finding themselves two goals to the good hopefully they can bounce back with a win against Wideopen at home this Saturday
