YP FC recorded their first competitive win at the 3rd time of asking as they demolished Goring Utd Reserves 6-1.

The goalscoring started from a corner after some excellent early pressure. A fantastic corner from Greg Bushnell, who was on corner duties due to the absence of skipper Richard best, finding the head of Jason Haste, who fired home.

The second goal came soon after, with Haste being out through after a perfectly weighted through ballfrom Danny Lucas. Withwork still todo, Hastetook on two defenders before slotting home out of the 'keepers reach.

More chances came for the home side, with John Smith denied on a number of occasions by a goalkeeper in incredible form. The pick of the saves being a curled effort that looked net-bound before the keeper somehow found a fingertip save.

A Utd counter attack saw the away side win a corner, and after a defensive mix up, the ball was scrambled in from close range. Defending set pieces is becoming an issue for the side, with 3 of the last 4 goals conceded coming from set pieces.

The half time whistle saw the YP FC team hold a well deserved 2-1 lead.

The second half was started with the same eleven that started the game, in an attempt to use the momentum gained in the first half. This paid off, with Haste again used his size to maximum effect, taking on and beating two defenders before powering a strike past the keeper.

With YP FC leading and in comfortableprolonged possession, this was a prime opportunity to give minutes to Jason Humphreys, who has been out for a number ofweeks with a ligament injury. Humphreys came on for Greg Bushnell, who made every effort to make the vacant midfield spot his own.

The attacking superioirity continued from the home side, with the defence unable tocope with the pace, power and accuracy from Haste & Danny Lucas, who showed his versatility, playing on the right side of midfield.

After 70 minutes, Manager Daniel Hill came on for a cameo appearance in place of Bruno Ribeiro, who is reaping the benefits of putting in 100% in training, and is completing more minutes with every match that passes.

Right-back Hovanec saw the constant attacking pressure as a prime opportunity to stretch his legs, picking the ball up in his own half, before taking on no less than 5 players, driving into the box before being sythed down. Penalty. Danny Lucas stepped upand slotted the ball low into the right hand side-netting to continue his 100% record from the spot.

An indirect free-kick inside the area due to a back-pass being picked up by the keeper saw Hill lay the ball off to Haste, who blasted home from 12 yards giving the keeper and advancing defenders no chance.

A Finalgoal from Haste in the last minutes of the game saw him bag no less than 5 goals in the game, giving him the MOTM,Match ball and plaudits from players and management as well as spectators.

This is a result that has been coming for weeks, with everything finally slotting in to place. With defensive stability, the creative midfield and natural strikers in Smith & Haste, this is surely a sign of things to come from YP FC.
