AFC Stockport Lionesses Women is a women's football team based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. They currently play in the Greater Manchester Women's Football League Division One.
History
The team was formed in 2003 by a group of work friends in Decathlon. They started out playing weekly matches on dusty astro-turf, but have since grown into a well-run club that supports men's, women's, and junior forms of the beautiful game.
The Lionesses have won the Greater Manchester Women's Football League Division One title twice, in 2015 and 2018. They have also reached the final of the Manchester Women's Cup on three occasions.
