History

Anarchyakos was founded in 2019 by a group of anarchists who wanted to create a football club that would be run on non-hierarchical and democratic principles. The club's motto is "Football without borders, without hierarchies, without exploitation."

Anarchyakos quickly rose through the lower leagues of Greek football, winning promotion to the Athenian Football League in 2022. The club is currently in its third season in the Athenian Football League.

Philosophy

Anarchyakos is committed to playing football in a way that is consistent with its anarchist principles. The club does not have any sponsors, and its players are all volunteers. Anarchyakos also refuses to play in any competitions that are organized by the Greek Football Federation, which the club sees as being corrupt and undemocratic.
