Ariana FC was founded in 2018 by a group of immigrants from Afghanistan. The club's name is a reference to the city of Ariana in Afghanistan.
The club's first season was in Division 4 Malmö, the sixth tier of Swedish football. They finished the season in third place and were promoted to Division 3 Malmö.
In the 2020 season, Ariana FC finished in second place in Division 3 Malmö and were promoted to Division 2 Norra Götaland.
In the 2021 season, Ariana FC finished in third place in Division 2 Norra Götaland and were promoted to Division 1 Södra.
