AZ PLAY Football Club is a Malagasy football club based in Antananarivo. The club was founded in 2009 and currently competes in the Malagasy Premier League.
AZ PLAY has won the Malagasy Premier League once, in 2018. The club has also won the Malagasy Cup twice, in 2017 and 2019.
History
AZ PLAY was founded in 2009 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football club that would represent the city of Antananarivo. The club quickly rose through the ranks of the Malagasy football pyramid and made its debut in the Malagasy Premier League in 2012.
AZ PLAY has been a regular contender for the Malagasy Premier League title since its promotion in 2012. The club won its first league title in 2018 and has since finished as runner-up on two occasions.
AZ PLAY has also been successful in cup competitions. The club won the Malagasy Cup in 2017 and 2019.
Stadium
AZ PLAY plays its home matches at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium in Antananarivo. The stadium has a capacity of 20,000 spectators.
