The club was founded in 1979 and initially played in the Chelmsford & District League. They joined the Mid-Essex Football League in 1985 and have been playing in the league ever since.
The club's most successful period was in the early 2000s, when they won the Mid-Essex Football League Division Two title in 2001 and 2002. They also reached the final of the Mid-Essex Football League Cup in 2002, but lost to Burnham Ramblers.
