The team has been in existence for over 20 years and has a proud history of success. In recent years, the team has won the North West Colleges Sports League title three times and has also reached the final of the National Colleges Football Association Cup.

North West Colleges Sports League
The North West Colleges Sports League is a football league for colleges in the North West of England. The league was founded in 1999 and has over 50 teams competing in it.
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the Division One. The Cardinal Newman College Women's Football Team currently competes in the Premier Division.
The winner of the Premier Division is promoted to the National Colleges Football Association League. The bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to Division One.
