Clophill United FC was formed in 2015 following the disbanding of the Clophill St Mary's Lower School football team. The new club was formed by a group of parents and volunteers who were keen to keep football going in the village.
The club's first season was a successful one, with the U13 team winning the league title. The club has continued to grow in recent years and now has teams from U8 to U16 level.

The club is currently competing in the Bedfordshire Youth Saturday League. The U16 team is currently top of the league, while the U15 team is in second place. The U13 team is in fourth place.
