Coventry Sphinx Football Club is a football club based in Coventry, West Midlands, England. They are currently members of the Midland Floodlit Youth League, and play at Sphinx Drive.
The club was established in 1946 as a works team for Armstrong Siddeley under the name Armstrong Siddeley Motors Football Club. In 1960 they were renamed Sphinx Football Club.
The club have won the Midland Floodlit Youth League on four occasions, in 1995, 2001, 2002, and 2010. They have also reached the final of the FA Youth Cup on one occasion, in 2002.
Recent History
Coventry Sphinx finished third in the Midland Floodlit Youth League in 2021-22. They also reached the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup, where they were beaten by eventual winners Manchester City.
The club have a number of talented young players coming through their ranks, including striker Matty Shipman, who has been capped by England at under-18 level.

The Midland Floodlit Youth League
The Midland Floodlit Youth League is a youth football league based in the West Midlands. It was founded in 1973, and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it.
The league is divided into four divisions, with the top division being the Premier Division. The Premier Division champions are promoted to the Northern Premier League Youth Alliance, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One.
The Midland Floodlit Youth League is a competitive league, and has produced a number of talented young players who have gone on to play professional football. Some of the players who have come through the league include Jack Grealish, Conor Coady, and Jordan Pickford.
