The club was founded in 1905 and have played at their current home ground, the Deepings Leisure Centre, since 1972.
Deeping United have won the Peterborough & District Football League Division One on four occasions, in 1987-88, 1993-94, 2007-08 and 2017-18.
The club's most famous player is probably Mick Halsall, who played for Deeping United in the 1970s and 1980s. Halsall went on to play for Lincoln City, Notts County and Grimsby Town.
Deeping United have a long-standing rivalry with their local rivals, Deeping Rangers. The two clubs have met in the Peterborough & District Football League on many occasions, with Deeping United having the edge in recent years.
