The Diamonds Academy U21 football team is a youth team that is affiliated with AFC Rushden & Diamonds. The team plays in the Midland Football League RFL league, which is a regional league for under-21 teams.
The team was formed in 2012 and has since gone on to win the Midland Football League RFL league title on two occasions, in 2014-15 and 2017-18. The team has also reached the final of the FA Youth Cup on two occasions, in 2015-16 and 2020-21.
The team is managed by Gareth Ivett, who is also the manager of the AFC Rushden & Diamonds first team. The team's home ground is the Dog & Duck Stadium in Rushden, Northamptonshire.

The Midland Football League RFL is a regional league for under-21 teams that is based in the East Midlands of England. The league was founded in 2008 and currently consists of 18 teams.
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season qualify for the play-offs, with the winner of the play-offs being promoted to the National League U21 North.
The Midland Football League RFL is a competitive league and has produced a number of talented young players who have gone on to play professional football. Some of the players who have come through the league include Jack Grealish, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Dominic Solanke.
