DWS 1 is a Dutch football club based in Amsterdam. The club was founded in 1907 and currently plays in the Tweede Divisie, the third tier of Dutch football.
History
DWS 1 won the Eredivisie championship in 1963-64 and the KNVB Cup in 1967. The club also reached the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup final in 1969, where they lost to Manchester City.
DWS 1 was relegated from the Eredivisie in 1972 and has not played in the top flight since then. The club has also struggled financially in recent years and was forced to declare bankruptcy in 2018.
