The Peter Houseman Youth League (PHYL) is a regional youth football league in the Thames Valley area. It was founded in 1974 and is named after Peter Houseman, a former England international footballer who died in 1971.
The PHYL currently has over 200 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with the top division being the Premier League.
The PHYL is a popular league with many talented young players. In recent years, several players who have gone on to play professional football have come through the PHYL, including Jack Butland, Conor Coady, and Raheem Sterling.
