Forestdale Football Team is a youth football team based in Keston, South London. They compete in the Croydon Primary School Leagues (CPSL).
History
Forestdale Football Team was founded in 1999 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football. The team has since grown to become one of the most successful youth football teams in Croydon.
Forestdale have won the CPSL Division 1 title on four occasions, and have also won the CPSL Cup on three occasions. The team has also produced a number of players who have gone on to play professional football, including Michael Hector, who currently plays for Queens Park Rangers.
Current Season
Forestdale are currently competing in the CPSL Division 1. They are currently in third place in the table, and are looking to challenge for the title this season.
The team is managed by Paul Smith, who has been in charge for the past five seasons. Smith is a former professional footballer who played for Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic.
Croydon Primary School Leagues
The Croydon Primary School Leagues (CPSL) is a football league for primary school children in Croydon. The league was founded in 1995 and currently has over 100 teams competing in it.
The CPSL is divided into four divisions, with the top division being Division 1. The teams in each division play each other once during the season, with the top two teams in each division qualifying for the playoffs.
The CPSL is a popular league with many children participating in it. The league provides a great opportunity for children to play football and develop their skills.
