Kosmos Football Club is a Russian football club based in Ryazan. The club was founded in 1995 and currently competes in the Russian Football National League 2, the third tier of Russian football.
History
Kosmos was founded in 1995 as a merger of two local clubs, FC Ryazan and FC Strogino. The club quickly rose through the Russian football pyramid, reaching the Russian Second Division in 2000. Kosmos remained in the Second Division for the next 15 years, with its best finish being a fourth-place finish in 2011.
In 2015, Kosmos was promoted to the Russian Football National League, the third tier of Russian football. The club finished its first season in the FNL in 14th place.
