Kotoko Football Club from Offinso

Kotoko Football Club is a Ghanaian professional football club based in Offinso, Ashanti Region. The club was founded in 1935 and is one of the most successful clubs in Ghana, having won the Ghana Premier League a record 24 times.

Kotoko play their home matches at the Offinso Sports Stadium. The club's colors are red and white, and their nickname is the "Porcupine Warriors".

History

Kotoko was founded in 1935 by a group of young men in Offinso.
The club's first major trophy was the Ghana FA Cup, which they won in 1938.
Kotoko won their first Ghana Premier League title in 1963.
The club has won the CAF Champions League twice, in 1970 and 1983.
Kotoko is the most successful club in Ghana, having won the Ghana Premier League a record 24 times.

Recent History

Kotoko has been relatively successful in recent years, winning the Ghana Premier League in 2016 and 2022. The club also reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2018.
