More about the team

Formed in the summer of 2010 Lord Warden Football Club are an open aged amateur team who play in the premier division of The CMS League. The nucleus of the squad hail from The St Andrew's (bullring) area of Liverpool which has a history of producing many talented footballers, throughout the years.

We kicked off our debut season on 11th September 2010 with an impressive 6-0 victory over Polonia Camps and followed that up a week later defeating the champions Western Speke 2-1 at home before completing 3 wins out of 3 by claiming all 3 points away at Vale Madrid who would go on to become our biggest rivals on all fronts throughout the campaign.

We finished the season as strong favourites in the title race trailing leaders Vale Madrid by just 2 points with 2 games still to play and victory in either of these would have been enough but unfortuntely Polonia Camps stunned us with a 3-0 scoreline at The Dockers before very late drama in the final game away at King Charles saw us loose a 1 goal lead in the final minute meaning the point wasn't enough and instead sent the title on it's way to Crosby. Vale were also victorious in the semi final Healy Cup clash on Good Friday beating us 3-1, it was a competition they would also go on to win.

The team are managed by Gavin Heard who is assisted by former player Tony Cosgrove, both will now be looking at working towards taking the team one step closer in the forthcoming campaign with the ultimate aim being putting silverware in the as yet empty cabinet.
