Marlborough Youth Angels Football
Marlborough Youth Angels is a girls' football team based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. The team was founded in 2009 and is affiliated to the Wiltshire County Women's and Girls' Football League.
The team is run by Becky Knox, a Level 2 qualified football coach. There are currently four teams in the club, catering for girls from U8 to U15.
The Angels train once a week during the football season and play their matches on Saturday mornings. They have competed in a number of tournaments, including the Tilehurst Panthers 6-a-side Tournament.
History
The Marlborough Youth Angels were founded in 2009 by Becky Knox. Knox had been coaching girls' football for a number of years and felt that there was a need for a girls' team in Marlborough.
The team started with just one team, but it quickly grew in popularity. By 2012, there were four teams in the club.
The Angels have had a lot of success over the years. They have won a number of trophies, including the Wiltshire County Women's and Girls' Football League Cup in 2013.
Tilehurst Panthers 6-a-side Tournament
The Marlborough Youth Angels have competed in the Tilehurst Panthers 6-a-side Tournament on a number of occasions. The tournament is a popular event, attracting teams from all over the south of England.
The Angels have had a lot of success in the tournament, winning the title in 2014 and 2016. They were also runners-up in 2015.
The Tilehurst Panthers 6-a-side Tournament is a great opportunity for the Angels to compete against other top teams from the region. It is also a lot of fun and the girls always enjoy the experience.
