Linfield Football Club is a professional association football club based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. They compete in the NIFL Premiership, the top division of Northern Irish football. Linfield are the most successful club in Northern Irish football, having won the league a record 56 times, as well as the Irish Cup 44 times.
Linfield were founded in 1886 and played their first match against Ulster Cricket Club. They joined the Irish Football League in 1890 and have been playing in the top division ever since. Linfield have won the league title every year since 2017, and have also won the Irish Cup in each of the last three seasons.
Linfield's home ground is Windsor Park, which is the largest stadium in Northern Ireland. The stadium has a capacity of 18,500 and is also the home of the Northern Ireland national team.
