Quested Football Club

Quested Football Club is an amateur football club based in Chatham, Kent, England. They play in the Medway Area Sunday Football League Premier Division, which is the top division of the league.

The club was founded in 1967 and have won the Medway Sunday Senior League a record 27 times, as well as the Kent Premier Cup on five occasions. They are considered to be one of the most successful Sunday league teams in England.

History

Quested results

Quested were founded in 1967 by a group of friends who met at the Quested Arms pub in Chatham. The club started out in the Medway Sunday League Second Division and won promotion to the Premier Division in their first season.

Quested have been one of the dominant forces in the Medway Sunday Senior League ever since, winning the title a record 27 times. They have also won the Kent Premier Cup on five occasions, most recently in 2019.

The club has also had a number of players who have gone on to play professional football, including Mark Stimson, who played for Gillingham, Charlton Athletic and Millwall, and Steve Sedgley, who played for Chelsea and West Ham United.

The Medway Area Sunday Football League is a Sunday league football competition for teams in the Medway Towns area of Kent, England. The league was founded in 1961 and currently has 20 teams competing in the Premier Division.

The league is divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division One and Division Two. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Kent Sunday League at the end of each season, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One.

The Medway Area Sunday Football League is a very competitive league and the title is usually decided between a few of the top teams. Quested are the most successful team in the league's history, having won the title a record 27 times.
