Red Sun are a grassroots football team made up of 2 team members. The team is from Thai Muang, Thailand. Red Sun started using TeamStats in August 2018.
The team's name is inspired by the red sun that rises over the Thai Muang mountains every morning. The team's logo features a red sun with the words "Red Sun" written in Thai underneath.
The team's home ground is the Thai Muang Sports Complex. The complex has a football pitch, a running track, and a gym.
History
Red Sun was founded in 2018 by two friends, Somchai and Somsak. The two friends were both passionate about football and wanted to start a team in their hometown of Thai Muang.
The team's first season was a success. They won the local league and qualified for the regional playoffs. However, they were knocked out in the first round.
The team has continued to improve in recent years. They won the local league again in 2021 and this time they also won the regional playoffs. They are now competing in the national championship.
Current Season
Red Sun are currently in their third season in the national championship. They are currently in 10th place out of 16 teams.
The team has had a mixed season so far. They have won some games and lost some games. They are hoping to finish the season in the top half of the table.
Future Plans
Red Sun are ambitious and they have plans to move up to the Thai Premier League in the next few years. They are also planning to build a new stadium in Thai Muang.
