Saints First XI were founded in 2019 by a group of friends who wanted to play competitive football in Blantyre. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Blantyre District Football League and won the championship in their first season.
In 2020, Saints First XI competed in the Malawi National Football League, but they were relegated after finishing bottom of the table. The team has since returned to the Blantyre District Football League and is currently competing for promotion back to the national league.
