Sezonul 1 was founded in 2015 by a group of friends who were passionate about football. The team began competing in the Liga 5 – Bucharest, the fifth tier of Romanian football, and quickly rose through the divisions. In 2019, Sezonul 1 won promotion to the Liga 4 – Bucharest.
The team has a strong following among local fans and is known for its attacking style of play. Sezonul 1 has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play for professional clubs in Romania and abroad.
