Southwark Town FC is a football club based in the London Borough of Southwark, England.
History
The club was founded in 1975 as Southwark Sports, and initially played Sunday league football. In 1982, they joined the London Spartan League, and reached the Premier Division in 1984. In 1988, the club changed name to Southwark Borough.
The club's best FA Vase performance was reaching the first round in 1988-89. Their record attendance was 325, against Fisher Athletic in the Spartan League in 1989.
Southwark Borough were ejected from the Spartan League in 1989 following misconduct rules. The club folded on 3 April 1990, after a failed attempt to gain admission to the Essex Senior League.
Rebirth
Southwark Town FC was reformed in 2017, and currently play in the Southwark & District League.
The club's home ground is the Surrey Docks Stadium in Rotherhithe.
