The team was founded in 2009 and has since won the National League U19 Alliance title twice, in 2016-17 and 2017-18. The team has also reached the FA Youth Cup third round on two occasions, in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

The league was founded in 2015 and currently consists of 24 teams, divided into two divisions. The top two teams from each division at the end of the season are promoted to the Premier League U19 Development League, while the bottom two teams from each division are relegated to the Development League North or South.
The league is sponsored by UCFB, a football university.
