The team was founded in 2018 by a group of women who wanted to play football in the Carlisle area. They started out playing in the Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth Football League, and in 2021 they joined the Cumberland FA Women's League.

The Cumberland FA Women's League is a football league for women's teams in Cumbria, England. It is currently in its 13th season. The league consists of two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.
The Premier Division is the top division in the league. It currently consists of 10 teams. The winner of the Premier Division is promoted to the North West Women's Regional League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One.
Division One is the second tier of the league. It currently consists of 10 teams. The winner of Division One is promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Cumberland FA Development League.
