TEAM BEST is a Sierra Leonean football club based in Freetown. They play in the Sierra Leone National Premier League, the top football league in the country.
The club was founded in 2005 by a group of young men who wanted to create a team that would represent the best of Freetown. The club's name is a reflection of this goal, as "BEST" stands for "Bringing Excellence to Sierra Leone."
TEAM BEST has quickly become one of the most successful clubs in Sierra Leone. In their first season, they won the Sierra Leone FA Cup. They have since gone on to win the Premier League title twice, in 2010 and 2012.
The club has also produced some of the best players in Sierra Leone, including Mohamed Kallon, who went on to play for clubs like Chelsea and Inter Milan.
Recent History
TEAM BEST have had a mixed recent history. They finished second in the Premier League in 2018, but they have since struggled to maintain their form. In 2022, they finished in 10th place.
However, the club has a new coach in 2023, and they are hoping to challenge for the title again. They have started the season well, and they are currently in fourth place.
