The team was founded in 2010 by a group of friends who wanted to create a competitive Sunday league team. They have since gone on to win the league title on two occasions, in 2013 and 2017.

The team is managed by Steve Smith, who has been in charge since the team's inception. Smith is a former professional footballer who played for clubs such as Luton Town and Barnet.

The team's home ground is the Hertford Town FC training ground. The team's kit is red and black striped shirts, black shorts, and red socks.
