History
Thunderton FC was founded in 1962 by a group of local men. The club initially played in the local amateur leagues, before joining the North Region League in 1970.
The club's most successful period came in the 1980s, when they won the North Region League First Division on three occasions. Thunderton also reached the final of the North Region Cup in 1985, but lost to Buckie Thistle.
The club has struggled in recent years, and currently plays in the North Region League First Division. However, they have a strong youth team, and are hoping to rebuild the club in the coming years.
