Wellingborough Whitworth Reserves are a football team based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England. They play in the United Counties Football League Reserve Division One, the ninth tier of the English football league system.
History
The club was founded in 1973 as a result of the disbanding of Wellingborough Ideal Clothiers Football Club. The club began life in the Rushden and District League with limited success. However, in the season of 1975/76, their 3rd year, the Club were crowned League Champions.
In 1982, the club joined the United Counties Football League, where they have played ever since. The club's best season in the UCHL came in 2006/07, when they finished as runners-up in the Premier Division.
Current Season
Wellingborough Whitworth Reserves are currently in their 49th season in the United Counties Football League. They are currently in 13th place in the Reserve Division One.
