West Essex Football Club is a football club based in Highams Park in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, England. They are currently members of the Essex Senior League and groundshare with Walthamstow at Wadham Lodge in Walthamstow.
History
The club was founded in 1989 and initially played in the Waltham Forest League. They won promotion to the Essex Olympian League in 1994 and then to the Essex Senior League in 2002.
The club's highest finish in the Essex Senior League was third place in 2005-06. They have also reached the final of the Essex Senior Trophy on three occasions, most recently in 2019.
In 2021, West Essex entered a groundsharing agreement with Walthamstow to use Wadham Lodge as their ground. Prior to this, the club had been sharing with Barking at Mayesbrook Park in Dagenham.
Current season
West Essex are currently in their 34th season in the Essex Senior League. They finished sixth in the league last season.
The club's current manager is Mark Stimson. He was appointed in 2021.
