The team was formed in 2022 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their daughters with the opportunity to play football. The team currently has 11 players, aged 7 and 8 years old.
The team is coached by Mark Smith, who has over 20 years of experience coaching youth football. Mark is passionate about helping young players develop their skills and love of the game.
The Weston Mendip Girls (Youth) U8 Blue Sox have had a successful season so far. They have won 5 of their 7 games and are currently top of the league.
The team's next game is against Shine Saints Youth U10 Girls on May 14th. The game will be played at the Weston-super-Mare Sports Centre.
