Wight Eagles U16 Girls Football Team
The Wight Eagles U16 Girls football team is a youth team based on the Isle of Wight. They play in the Hampshire Girls Youth Football League (HGYL), which is a competitive league for girls aged 15 and 16.
The team was formed in 2020, and has been steadily growing in popularity ever since. They currently have a squad of around 20 players, and are always looking for new recruits.
The team is coached by Dan Verstraeten, who is also the chairman of the Wight Eagles Academy. Verstraeten is a qualified coach with a wealth of experience in women's football.
The Wight Eagles U16 Girls have had a successful season so far, and are currently top of their league. They have won 7 of their 8 games, and have only conceded 2 goals.
The team's next game is against Fareham Town on Saturday 29th July. The game will be played at Cowes Sports Club, and kick-off is at 11am.
