Wyre Rangers Football Club was founded in 1970 by a group of local footballers. The club's first season was in the Wyre Amateur League, which they won. In 1972, the club joined the Berry's Bed's Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance league, where they have played ever since.
The club has enjoyed a great deal of success in the Berry's Bed's Blackpool & Fylde Sunday Alliance league, winning the title four times (1975, 1983, 1993, and 2008). They have also won the league cup on three occasions (1982, 1992, and 2007).
Recent seasons
Wyre Rangers have had a mixed bag of results in recent seasons. In 2021-22, they finished in 10th place in Division 1. However, they have started the 2022-23 season well and are currently in third place.
