About Young Patriots FC

Called the Young Patriots or “YP FC” for short, the team had its humble beginnings in late 2009, starting off with just 20 players. The team regularly trains together and has also played a number of friendly matches with a number of local teams as well as taking part in local tournaments. Most notably, a Young Patriots futsal team emerged as Champions of the first Young PAP Futsal Tournament, beating 16 other teams in 2012. The team was formed by then Young PAP Chairman, Mr Teo Ser Luck, with an intention to provide an avenue for YP members to connect and network through soccer. It also provides a fantastic platform for activists to meet and interact with other Singaporeans through the game of football. These days, the team boasts a total of 42 players comprising of a good mix of activists as well as friends of Young PAP. The youngest player on the team is only 13 while the oldest player is about 40. With a good mix of young talent and depth in experience, the Young Patriots Football team is aiming to reach greater heights this coming year by being part of the competitive ESPZen Amateur Football League and has plans to start both a youth team as well as veteran team to provide great opportunities for activists and friends to come together.
