About Zakaria Football Club
Zakaria Football Club is a Moroccan football club based in Nador. The club was founded in 1962 and currently competes in the Botola 2, the second tier of Moroccan football.
The club's home stadium is the Stade El Abdia, which has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. Zakaria's colors are red and green.
History
Zakaria Football Club was founded in 1962 by a group of young men from Nador. The club's first president was Mohamed El Ouazzani.
Zakaria FC quickly rose through the Moroccan football leagues and reached the Botola 1, the top tier of Moroccan football, in 1970. The club remained in the Botola 1 for 10 seasons, before being relegated in 1980.
Zakaria FC has won the Botola 2 championship on two occasions, in 1982 and 2018. The club has also won the Moroccan Cup on one occasion, in 1979.
Recent Season
Zakaria FC finished the 2022-23 Botola 2 season in 5th place. The club qualified for the promotion playoffs, but lost to Chabab Rif Al Hoceima in the semi-finals.
