Central Warwickshire Youth Football League

Its football spans the formative mini-soccer years through to youth age groups. The league identifies age groups from Under 7 through Under 18, giving clubs a single competition to use as young players move through their junior football years. That breadth makes it a familiar competition for clubs operating in and around Birmingham, Solihull, Warwickshire and neighbouring areas.

A league for developing teams

For families looking for a local side, the practical starting point is usually a nearby grassroots club that competes in the league. Clubs enter teams at the relevant age group, while managers and volunteers use the league’s published guidance and links to county-football resources. The competition also maintains its own managers, committee and rules sections, which can help club volunteers find the league information they need.

The Central Warwickshire Youth Football League’s long history is one of its defining features. It has been part of the local youth-football landscape for decades, offering a structured setting in which junior teams can play regular league football as they develop.
