The Dorset Mini-Soccer League is an amateur football league for children under the age of 10. It is affiliated with the Dorset Football Association (FA).
History
The Dorset Mini-Soccer League was founded in 1995. It has grown steadily over the years and now has over 100 teams participating.
Format
The Dorset Mini-Soccer League is divided into age groups: Under 7, Under 8, Under 9, and Under 10. Each age group has a number of divisions, depending on the number of teams entered.
Games are played on a weekly basis on Sundays. They are played either 5-a-side or 7-a-side, depending on the age group.
RulesThe rules of the Dorset Mini-Soccer League are based on the rules of the Football Association. However, there are some modifications to the rules to make the game more suitable for young children. For example, there is no offside rule in mini-soccer.
