The Down Area Amateur Football League is an amateur football league in the English county of Down. It is the lowest tier of football in the county, and is made up of 20 teams. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Mid Ulster Football League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the First Division. The bottom two teams in the First Division are relegated to the Down Area Junior Football League.
The Down Area Amateur Football League was founded in 1970. The original name of the league was the Down Area and South Down Football League. The league was renamed to the Down Area Amateur Football League in 1990.
